Ireland and Ukraine

The Minister for Foreign AffairsSimon Coveney, approved military aid for Ukraine:Miscellaneous
  • Helmets, medical equipment, blood and fuel [27 February 2022].[224][225]
  • 5,000 Meal, Ready-to-Eat (MREs) [March 2022].
  • 200 units of body armor [March 2022].[226]
Training and rehabilitation
  • Rehabilitation of five wounded Ukrainian soldiers [June 2022].[227]
  • 30 Irish soldiers will participate in training of Ukrainian Armed Forces in basic military skills, leadership training, drill instructor training, combat medicine, demining and explosive disposal. From April 2023 onwards.[228][229] [230]
  • €20 million of humanitarian aid as of 14 April 2022,[166] which include €4.3 million worth of medical supplies such as ambulances.[167]
  • €25 million funding announced on 13 December 2022 by the Irish government to help with the reconstruction and development of Ukraine.[168]
  • €450,000 towards a UN Food and Agriculture Organisation project to provide 500 tonnes of seed potatoes to 10,000 Ukrainian farmers.[169]
  • €1 million in humanitarian aid to Ukraine following the Destruction of the Kakhovka Dam[170]
