Russian authorities claimed they spotted and shot down an unidentified drone approaching Moscow on Aug. 6, with the incident resulting in dozens of flights to the Russian capital’s Vnukovo airport being suspended.
“A drone attempt to break into Moscow” was made at about 11.00 a.m., but it was downed in the close vicinity of the capital, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin claimed in a post on his channel on the Telegram messenger.
