Secretary of Defense Lloyd J. Austin III spoke with Ukrainian Minister of Defence Rustem Umerov today to discuss the developments from the battlefield. They reviewed the outcomes of the recent Ukraine Defense Contact Group meeting held on February 13 and Secretary Austin reiterated the steadfast commitment of our coalition of some 50 Allies and partners to continue supporting Ukraine as Russia’s full-scale war of aggression approaches the two-year mark.

The two leaders pledged to remain in close contact.
